She has been there for me through thick and thin She gave me her heart, no questions asked I never had to look very far to find my biggest fan She was the one to scream loudest, and the one who always told me she didn’t care if she embarrassed me at least I knew she was there She has seen me through unimaginable pain, even though there were times she wanted to run and hide so she couldn’t see the pain She doesn’t know this, but I love her more  for sticking by me through all I have endured She is the one I can’t wait to see at the end of each day Even if life’s dark clouds seem to rain on her, she knows just what to say to make me smile I hope I possess the same characteristics she has which make her a woman of strength in my eyes written on 12/24/04  #OriginalPoetry

Her brother may not be here now  Yet she knows he lives on because  he has become the flame that reignites  the fire within her heart and soul  whenever the embers of  her passion start dying  She is just now beginning to understand  what he meant when he told her  if she wanted her dreams to come true  she would have to fight for them  He also told her not to give up  even if the odds were stacked against her  Her dreams may not be the same ones  she had when he was here  but she’s been fighting for her new dreams  with the same passion he had  She believes if she continues to  spread the messages  As well as teach the lessons  he once taught her  his legacy will live on  in the hearts and minds of  all those who become inspired  by the wisdom he left behind Written on 12/20/04 #OriginalPoety 

She sometimes sinks into the darkness  Left by his departure from this world Loneliness, anger and guilt fill her heart even though she knows  there’s nothing she could’ve done She is acutely aware that the pain and emptiness she now feels will never completely heal The one thing she is sure of Is that he will always be her light of  Hope illuminating the hand of darkness that life may deal her Just like he’d done before his untimely departure to heaven  She will pick herself up and move on because she knows that’s what he would want for her  Written on 12/19/04  #OriginalPoetry 

She longs to be free Every night before lying her head down She prays He will give her the strength to take a breath Spread her wings and flutter into freedom Written on 10/21/04 #OriginalPoetry   

He acts as if she is invisible  She does not understand how he can be so insensitive Every time she asks him a question or two he gives her the cold shoulder  She wishes he would tell her what his problem is She knows he won’t because he is uncomfortable around her He needs to realize she may be different but she is still human and not a ghost Written on 9/16/04 #OriginalPoetry
